Can you believe we’re already half way through the year?! With Quarter 3 underway, I have been reflecting on a very busy (and equally rewarding) Q2. One thing that became clear to me: this was a period of flourishing connections and expanding community, and I could not be more grateful. 

MEDIA APPEARANCES

I had the great privilege of appearing in Global Woman and SHEEN Magazines, as well as on two podcasts: “Get Authentic with Marques Ogden” and “Pink Lady Posse Podcast.” From inner beauty to redefining confidence, we explored topics that are both near to my heart and at the core of Keca’s Usna as a brand. But even when we were discussing football, beauty tips, and lipstick (which believe me, we did!), there was a very important thread through each conversation: how to create your most beautiful and authentic life. It was such a treat to get to explore this personally guiding principle with other people who cherish it just as much.

SUMMER SOULSTICE

But Q2 wasn’t just work, and I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t get a little “woo-woo” with it. I attended a Summer SOULstice retreat in Dallas, hosted by the fabulous Brit Carmichael, and it was the perfect start to a new season AND a new quarter. The venue was gorgeous, the guests were awesome, and the vibes were incredible. But even more special for me, I got to speak on the business panel and acted as the event’s title sponsor. The cherry on top was participating in the mindfulness and healing sessions. Getting in touch with our innate energy helped refresh and energize me to tackle the next few months, and make them just as impactful as the last couple. Not bad for my first retreat ever! 

THE SMALL SCREEN

Of course, an undeniable highlight from Q2 was appearing on WGN 9 Daytime Chicago. Talk about a “pinch me” moment! Hosts Tonya Francisco and Amy Rutledge were incredibly lovely – perfect fits for the Keca’s Usna family – and Tonya even tried a shade on, unprompted. From backstage to post-segment, the entire team was incredibly supportive and made my first TV appearance so special. I was beyond honored and humbled to reach a bigger audience than I had ever dreamed of, and I hope our message of inner beauty and self-care inspired them. 

LOOKING AHEAD

I’ve been lucky to have kicked off Q3 with some travel – one of my favorite things to do! It’s a little bit of work, a little bit of play, and I couldn’t be happier. I’m so excited for this next chapter in the year; it’s shaping up to be one of even more learning, growth, and exploration. As always, I’m carrying with me my goals of mindfulness and intentionality. With them in mind, I’m certain this next quarter will be a beautiful building block in the business, life, and community I am creating. Thank you for being a part of each of them!
